-Why amplifier?
Most SRI load cell models have millivolt range low voltage outputs (unless AMP or DIGITAL are denoted). If your PLC or data acquisition system (DAQ) requires an amplified analog signal (i.e.:0-10V), you will need an amplifier for strain gauge bridge. The SRI amplifier (M830X) provides excitation voltage to the strain gage circuit, converts the analog outputs from mv/V to V/V, so that the amplified signals can work with your PLC, DAQ, computers, or microprocessors.
-How does an amplifier M830X work with a load cell?
When the load cell and the M830X are purchased together, the cable assembly (shield cable plus connector) from the load cell to M830X is included. The shielded cable from the amplifier to the user's DAQ is also included. Note that the DC power supply (12-24V) is not included.
